a game you play outdoors!!!

OK guys. I see a lot of posts on the list about video games and such. Might I make a suggestion that everyone can try out? It's called amtgard and it is a live action roll playing game. Your character can be anything under the sun (just so long as you bring creativity to spare) and they are global! I mean, what could be better than spending an afternoon chasing your friends in the woods with a foam padded weapon. And whatsmore, there are even rules for spellcasters! So you don't necessarily have to be the best fighter to play!

I have seen this before. It is an odd game, yet there seems to be an appeal to it, as far as it's appealing to bash someone many times over and not have the reprecussions.

me and my freind jojo used to do things like that but we used wrestling moves and we would push each other off mini mountains (10-18 feet high) and we would use our paint ball guns and when u got shot u had to lay there for 5 minutes then u were reincarnated and could try and shoot the other person without gettin shot again.

My friends and I always used to play (back when we were 7 thru 14 or so) our own version of that game that we made up called Bodies. Stupid name, I know, but you try coming up with somthing better when you're 7. It was basically what we did when we were asked to go play outside after using up our day's videogame time. At first we'd just make up characters and go on adventures thru various places. Later on we'd put together those foam swords and axes, flails, daggers, whatever we wanted, and went on more battle-oriented adventures. Eventually it became less of a game and we started making really bad movies of these scenarios. Anyone else might've just raised an eyebrow at us, but we were having the time of our lives.

I've heard of this, but I've never had a chance to do it.

When I was in Middle School, we would have watergun fights in the summer.

And I have always wanted to do paint ball as well... never had the oppertunity.

Well, if any of you are interested in amtgard and are in the Atlanta area, I will be visiting this coming week and plan to bring some supplies for stress relief. It's a great way to meet people and, if you really want, there could probably be a paintball event planned. Just a suggestion!

I prefer to be indoor when I want to get rid of the stress I have in my everyday life, for several reasons, such as, attracting law inforcement attention is bad and it'S what might happen if I do whatever I have to do outside (and I don't mean smoking Pot :p )

For a good stress releiver, their is nothing like a good Australian Indoor-Rules Quiddich match with a bunch of revolted friends
