Hello All!!!

A few of you have expressed interest and now Relay for life is only 2 months away I wanted to send out an update/reminder.

The other committee members and I have got some really cool stuff going on.

We currently have the Georgia Force (Georgia's Arena Football Team) coming out. http://www.georgiaforce.com
The Cheerleaders will be performing and signing autographs. Possibly be posing for pictures
The Players will be signing autographs and possibly posing for pictures.
GForce (the mascot) will be posing for pictures.
We will also have tickets for the last 2 home games of the season being raffled off and as team rewards. I got season tickets for this year and I have to tell you, it's more exciting than any other sport I have seen live.

We also have the Dojo American Karate Centers ( http://www.thedojoinfo.com ) coming out to do some Demos including Board breaking (possibly including yours truly), group sword demos and group empty hand forms. All that are really fun to watch.
We will also have free memberships to the Dojo to raffle off.

I'm also working on getting a local band together to come out and perform at the Relay.

Some other possibilities of raffle Items are Gift Certificates to your favorite restaurants, comedy clubs and Cakes from Alpine Bakers (Makes the desserts for Ippolito's) not to mention many others.

If you are interested in forming or being on a team, please get with me and we can discuss it. It's really easy. Registration for a team is only $10 and that's pretty much for your T-Shirt. Then you only have to raise $100. For 2 months, that's really not much. And there are a ton of fund raising ideas. You may see mine very soon.

Also, if you know any survivors, they are treated like royalty at the Relays. See if they want to come out.

If you know anyone with cancer, fighting cancer, or who lost the battle against cancer, and you would like to honor them at the Relay, There are luminaries you can purchase. They are $10 each and all the proceeds go to the ACS. A Luminary is a commemorative ACS RFL bag that we put a candle in and put your honoree on the outside. Then the track is lined with them and they are all lit at the same time and the lights around the track are turned out. The word "HOPE" is also spelled out with them in the stands. If you cannot attend but want to get a Luminary, let me know and I will make sure you get the Luminary back after the event.

This really is a wonderful event for and even more wonderful cause.

Thanks Excel. I'm hoping to get some PO support this year. We wanted to get a team together last year, but it didn't work out.

So let's do it guys.

Did I mention the cheerleaders are really hot!

I talked with my Dojo yesterday and tehy have some really good stuff planned. It looks like we may even get 2 teams out of the Dojo.
