Ok first let’s say I'm not a crack pot. . Well I don’t think I am at least
That being said NASA has finally admitted to water being on mars, even though people have been saying it for over a year now. But couple that with fossilized bacteria found on a mars rock leads to an interesting conclusion. That there was life on mars.
The reason behind this is it is now believed that at one time mars was very similar if not identical to earth at one time.
And now I digress into my crack pot theories
There is evidence of what is believed to be some 3 and 5 sided pyramids. So if that is the case some one would have to have built, which suggests that there was intelligent life on mars. So as their atmosphere and planet decayed what happened to them?
(It gets worse)
This leads me to the fact that we MAY either be what left mars or their evolutionary decedents.
I do have a few things to back this up,
For one, the "missing link" could be missing because there isn’t one, on earth
Also they found a carbonized hammer, and a fossilized finger around a dinosaur foot, which could only have been made in extreme heat. Along with that there have been metallic orbs with patters on the outside found in a rock sediment believed to be around 2.5 million years old (I think I forgot the exact number ill get back to it when I find it)
but over all I'm not really saying that we are Martians or anything, I'm just trying to get people to thin about it, or at least that there probably was and is more to this place than us. . .oh and if you religious, nothin against your creation myths, but please just don’t bring it up cause we all know what they are and I dont wanna get into it lol |

The thing about the "Missing Link" though, is that it really isn't missing. We have plenty of evidence for the evolutionary history of man, as complete as can be expected.
Another thing is that, if we are, in some way, the evolutionary decendents of a race of beings that could travel between planets, something that we cannot yet do, then they probably wouldn't have had to Evolve any more in order to survive on this planet, and they probably would have left a lot more evidence to their existence here in the way of structures and such.
I mean, sure, you could imagine some ways in which it might turn out that way, but the chances of it having happened that way are really very slim.

But Sperrit, what if in coming to this world, many were killed and only a few barely survived and kept their main focus on living? what if the only way that their knowledge was passed on was through word of mouth and eventually it became only small legends and people soon forgot? -shrug- i don't know.... ^^ |

Well, yeah, like I said, you can imagine any number of situations where it would make sense. However, you've got to take into account that in that theory these beings could travel between planets. That means that they would be more advanced than we are at the moment, and even we're smart enough to realize that it would be pure folly to go to a planet with no way to either get back or have all of our people living when we got there so we could keep living lives as close to the ones we used to have as possible.

the thing that you would have to take into acount is they would have no systems for manufactoring, so generation to generation the technoledgy would be lost, me myself i dont think we came from mars, but i do think that there may have been intelegent life on mars |

My question is if we find life existed on Mars and we find that we can tap the water on Mars...Exactly HOW will this effect the gas mileage my car gets? Cause I don't care about life on Mars but I DO care about these fuggin gas prices! |

actually to add my two cents the part that irritates me is it was like "breaking news alert"
i mean I am interested and all....but yikes!
I was trying to pay attention to the slaughter going on....
With that out of the way...I heard the reports that Mars 'may' have been habitable at one time...now they may find some single or multi cellular organisms up there....find me a whole alien and then I promise I will tune in |
