Dear Flustered and Lonely,
Here's the deal. I've come to realize that alot of women who maintain this attitude have one of two problems.
A. They like playing games cuz they are bitter or cruel.
B. They have been hurt in someway in the past typically causing them to be thoroughly confused.
There are a few ways to handle this
A. Just don't deal with it. If the girl is doing it just for rudeness sake then this is the best option
B. Force some opinions on them. This can be a catch 22. On one hand it can sorta force them to start thinking for themselves, otherwise it may backfire and they see you as smothering which is probably what the problem was in the first place. be delicate if you choose this path.
C. Just let it go. The problem here is the issue may never correct itself and sometimes the girl may know the problem is there and want help.
D. Be blunt. slowly but surely help them make simple decisions. Such as what's for diner tonight, what do you want to do today and that self assurance will return.
Before you jump ahead of me this does work out of relationships too. If you fancy a girl and you aren't dating yet and forsee this problem, try one of the steps. Typically during that process you'll figure out two things. A. What's causing it, cruelty or past hurts, and B. If it can be fixed.
