I just got into the City of Heroes beta and I must say that the game is awesome. Ive been playing for 2 full hours and the thing is just great.

The character creation is pretty awesome. You have bunch of powers you can choose from and it takes a while, specially if you dont know what you are going for. Since I was recreating Aiman, of course, it didnt took me more than 45 mins.

As for me, just like PO Aiman, CoH Aiman has a huge sword and Dark powers from the netherworld that I got from my demon sleeping deep inside the Armor. I also have the power of Sprint and Brawl and some other which is the same as Sprint just with some neat effects.

Here are some of the 1st pictures of my 1st trip to Paragon City. Yes they look purple because it is night time and there is a blue energy barrier right in front of where Im standing.

So no offline mode? That sux ass. I was so hyped for this game after Freedom Force. Guess I'll have to borrow my friend's copy then.

Yeah, its an MMORPG, its all online, but its pretty awesome. I like it a whole lot better than FFXI. You dont have stupid dependency of another people to Lv up. If you want to do certain Missions you will have to have a group though. You need Level 10 to register a "Super group" which would be something like a Linkshell in FFXI.

It doesnt have the XP loss like in FFXI, but it has something similar. When you get to Lv 5, when you die, some of your XP turns red. That means you owe that XP. Instead of gaining it back, you pay off the debt of the loss XP.

The game overall is pretty sweet. But since its beta, the servers are up only from Wednesday at 10am to Saturday at 10pm. The rest of the days the servers are closed. Which means Resident Evil Outbreak time... lol

Well, they havent announced yet. They are gonna make it either with Credit card or subscription card which you can buy in game stores. Now the thing is that... In Comp USA they have it at $30 for 30 days, in EB Games they have it at $30 for 60 days and in Gamestop they have it at $30 for 90 days. The regular price is still a mystery, but I know they will probably tell us in the Beta Forum Boards.

Ultra ask yer friend what is his name in the game. Im Aiman of course... lol

He's gonna be gone most of this week but ill ask him as soon as I can. Im hoping its good enough that ill get it. It looks really good from the preorder cd he showed me. Is it like Freedom Force where you can edit your superpowers completely (ie changing appearance, sound effect, etc) ?

Not really. When you do yer character creation you select from 5 types of heroes.

Mutant
Science
Technology
Natural
Magic

Then you choose an Archetype

Blaster
Controller
Defender
Scrapper
Tanker

After choosing one of each, the combination will determine what kind of powerset you can use. For example, if you select a Mutant/Blaster you get a bunch of power sets like Fire shot, Energy shot or Ice shot. In each set you have a bunch of powers from that set like Every Blast or Energy Punch. That will be yer primary power. After that you can select a secondary powerset like Super Strengh and from that set you can get a power like Power Punch. When you level up you can select new powers or upgrade the ones you have. When you get to level 5, or at least that was in my case, you can select to yet another sets of powers called the Pool Power Set in which you can select one like Super Speed or Flight. And everytime you level you can select new powers from that set to or upgrade the ones you have.

This are just examples though, they have much more powersets than the ones I said. And not on every level you will be able to get a new power.

Each power has an enhancement slot. You get enhancements to make the power recharge faster (for faster use in battle), do more damage, or make the cost of Endurance (CoH's MP) lower. In some level ups you can add enhancement slots to the powers you have. You can also combine enhancements to make them better.

You also have inspirations, which are a "spur of the moment" power up, like damage up, defense up, heal a % of HP, or awaken (like a type of revive you can use on yourself) and stuff like that.

If you want more and better info go to the wensite and chck. The link is in the 1st post. Its very hard to explain but its not hard to get when you play, ya know. Its one of those "You have to see it to understand it" type of things. They have a movie in the media section of the website that explain all that stuff I just said... lol and they show the gameplay. The res is kinda bad though... lol Oh well...

I cant wait 'till Wednesday to start playing again !!!!!!

One of my buddies is playing it too and he says its great. I dunno his name or anything though. If I could play any MMORPG at home, it would be this or Guild Wars when that comes out. It is a comic fans dream come true.

Do you see alot of original characters in there, or are there a bunch of unoriginal people, I.E. Wolverine? Also, I heard that the most demanded feature is to be a super villan. Is there any word on that from the beta forums and the like?
