A Situation and I need help...

I have this friend and he has a GLBTTTQ related issue and he wants to come out but.... He is afriad of what people will say. He is scared he will lose any friends he's got. He told the issue to a select few people and they are handeling it ok... he thinks. Does anyone have any advice?

Personal Opinion: If your friends cannot handle that, then they're not friends worth having anyway. It'll hurt, but you'll make new ones eventually.

EDIT: AZ! You are so harsh! GLBTTTQ is Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transvestite Transextual Transgender Questioning or Queers. I like Queers B/C it somes everything up but some people don't like it so that's why I wrote GLBTTTQ. Obviously one of those doesn't apply to him... well actually it might. It's slightly harder than just saying hey I'm Gay.... cause that's not exactly it...

He's got friends who will be there for him and friends who won't. Also, the sooner he gets it out in the open, the sooner he'll get it over with. Otherwise, he'll be living a lie, and it will tear him apart inside. Basically, those are his options. Do it now, or do it later, but it'll hurt either way.

I'm just saying..If you can't stand up for what you believe in or what you practice then yer not worth the time. You don't haveta flaunt your lifestyle like San Francisco would have ya believe but you haveta own up to it...That's the problem with kids today. They don't stand up for what's important and they do stand up for stupid things like defending the music they listen to.

Then the best he can do is simply be prepared to feel pain. I agree with AzVegeta, though, that he should stand up for himself instead of hiding behind an illusion of normalcy. The best incentive is this: It'll only get worse the longer he waits. Guaranteed.
