*shrug* You're still Kai, Kai. That pretty much sums it up, right there. Whoever you may think you are, you're still you, and you will always be you, and what we here at PO percieve is you. You lied. True. But haven't we all? Everyone's got secrets, bud, everyone's got demons, and most of us will never have the courage you have shown here in sharing yours. The point: I'm willing to bet that any of us would have done the same thing. Therefore, I am not angry with you, I do not hate you, and I still think of you in the same way: You are you. Never let anyone tell you that you are someone other than yourself. Ever. The minute you do, you lose all sense of self, identity, and stability.

Might I say that I am touched that you would feel comfortable enough to tell us this. And all I can say is good luck Kai in waiting it out till you can truly become the person you were meant to be.

You worried that we wouldn't understand? I don't think you quite appreciate the nature of the message boards. First, as we've hopefully demonstrated, PO has a large bunch of very open-minded people.

Second, and as silly as this is going to sound, the very nature of PO contributes itself to people expressing themselves in ways that are different than their ordinary lives. As role-playing types, we're slightly predisposed towards being able to accept a character and work within those bounds. And so, when you take the leap and tell us that it is part of your world, all we have to do is move the perception reference. (Well, I know that sounds simple, and doing it in person might take a small amount of adjustment simply because then we have a person to associate with the character, but really, it's not that hard.)

This is not being flippant, but you really didn't have that much to worry about in the first place. Even so, we applaud your choice, and are honored by your decision, to tell us this about yourself. Be not afraid, for we go before you, beside you, and bring up the rear behind you always.
