Demonic vs. Silver Adept

Demonic isn't waiting for Silver to get that far, for the sand beneath Silver becomes lava even as Silver is sitting up. That's coupled with a severe convection current from above to make standing up hard--things are looking bad for Silv indeed, especially as Demonic's swords are circling him at quite some speed, nicking and slashing at him wherever they can.

The mage, even being bandied about and nipped at, seems not to be paying attention to what's around him. The cuts he's getting from the swords are healing very quickly. Finally, he reaches out and grabs both of them, one in each hand.

Go away. You're bothering me.

As nice a bass as that voice is, Silver's closer to a tenor-baritone normally. He then throws both the swords behind him as he continues to advance on Demonic.

The blades twist in Silver's grasp even as he attempts to throw them, aiming to slice his wrists open, perhaps to slice his hands right off. Unfortunately, cuts they make would be mostly horizontal, and not enough to cause as severe blood loss as Demonic would like.

As for Silver's advance, Demonic pours his concentration into keeping up a heavy downward gust of heated air, while the ground beneath Silver continues to melt, continues to become magma.

The blades spark off of what Silver's skin is now... more scaly than fleshy. The Chaos is definitely causing a transformation somewhere. Silver waves dismissively and the current shifts direction, blowing away from Silver.

Why don't we stop playing games? If you've actually got any talent in that tiny-looking frame of yours, show it off.

Demonic lets out a roar of rage, the blades pressing on--darting right from his wrists to beneath his ribs, looking for kidney shots. Though Demonic's left arm doesn't work, his right extends and forms its blade of Katre, a gift from Azurel. The Fire Elemental drops as gigantic wings of fire form on his back, aiming to stab into Silver's back anywhere he can and rip. The plan of melting the ground beneath Silver is abandoned, as is the Chaos--it's pure rage and fire now attacking the mage.

It's bad, it's horrible, it's worse... wih something like a sneer on his face, Silver has decided to go the ultimate route...

...he's just floating there, waiting to take it., facing the driving Demonic with a smile on his face. The Chaos appears to have warped him so much that he thinks he's invincible.

The point is driven home, then, that he's not when all three swords pierce him. Coughing a bit as he twists to face Demonic, his eyes lose that wonderfully red quality that they had a little while ago as the blood runs out. He stares into the eyes of Demonic, and then...

...snickers. "Psych." Demonic feels a metalllic squish as the dying Silver sticks Demonic right through the heart with a knife. "You fell for it again..."

Unfortunately for Silver, Demonic is wearing quite the strong breastplate, enhanced through demonic techniques in the same way that the metal of his swords is. So the knife would have to force its way through--in which time Demonic would have pulled back, being hard to reach anyway seeing as he was behind Silver the entire time. Meanwhile, both swords rip out of Silver's ribs and spiral into the air, coming into the retreating Demonic's hands--it would appear as though his left shoulder is healed, thanks to Bloodreign getting so much of Silver's power on it.

"...Game over, mage," he pants as he slowly rises into the air, eyes burning.

"You must be joking, friend. I always have a replay." SPLOOSH! That's musta been one helluva water balloon that just emptied its contents onto Demonic.

"Chaos magic is always fun to watch. There is that tendency to go insane if you're exposed to too much of it, but it's about the only thing that could give an inanimate object a soul. Or at least, something like it." The voice's manner changes from amused to impatient. "So, self, are you going to just lie down there and die? Up and at 'em, kiddo. We've still got work to do."

And the dead mage shimmers a bit, the last of the chaos bleeding away into the sand, and reverts to what it was - that blasted staff. Admittedly, it's been hacked into at least a couple of pieces, so it's of no use at the moment, but...

"However, since you did quite a job on my weapon, and I have no other one with which to fight honorably - I suppose I must concede. But in return, you'll suffer the Water Balloon Curse while I put this thing back together."

Water is nothing. Just annoying. It's when it's used to do more than merely wet Demonic that it hurts. Since Demonic isn't a true Fire Elemental, he can interact with water mostly normally. He just hates it.

"Damn wizards... Two out of three rounds go to you. You've conquered this mysterious Desert Warrior."

With that, Demonic leaves.

"Hey, you. Stop fooling around." Silver seems mildly irritated at the staff. It pulls itself together almost immediately, refusing itself into a whole. "Bored, were you?" The staff bobs up and down. "Still, it was good practice for us, wasn't it?" Another bob. "So you let him have one because you wanted to get on with things?" Side to side bob. "No? He beat you?" Another no. "Well, what is it, then?" Silver listens intently. "Is that it? Really?" A yes-bob. "So this was really just a giant game of Jan-Ken-Poh between you and the swords?" Another yes-bob. "Okay. Two out of three ain't bad..." Silver laughs as he walks away from teh combat arena...
