Awesomeness. I watched it 2 times in a row the first time I saw it. I now saw it 11 times and still want to see it again, and again and again...
I am forever amazed by the "poppet Master"'s words when he talks about "the Existence" of itself (won't say more about it, otherwise I'll be spoiling the movie)
It is a movie I'll keep and eventually show to my children, it is soo deep in signification, it's a good thing I've seen that movie, it made me psycologicly evolve a lot. |

I really really liked it, but like I said on another post, it so closely resembles the book Neuromancer by William Gibson, that I was really kinda disappointed.
It was awesome though. I am glad I own a copy.
(VHS copy, but that's okay...)

Neromancer was a wonderful story, and Wintermute is an incredibly cool character to boot. I however, loved the manga more, and am looking forward to seeing the series now coming out that more closely follows said manga |

Well, if it does follow the manga then expect a Comedic standpoint...Not to mention an intertwining plot with Dominion Tank Police Chars and such. Cause the Manga is SO way off from what the movie was. Mainly cause Kusanagi, the lady chick, is more of an air-head then the serious death-bringer lady you've seen in the flick...She's gun happy and not afraid to lose her cool in almost any situation...But that's trade-mark Masamune Shirow. |
