Hello, I'm a newb. I originally started my anime career on DBTI (mostly because of the intelligent ppl on the anime board; only partially because of the DB board) when one of the live-in otakus, Emerje, had a sig that interested me: a link to PSOtakus. I went there, and now it's where I spend most of my time. I noticed the sig of a lot of ppl: you can guess what that was, and that is why I'm here. Also, I'm very interested in why you have to pay for a Pocket Otaku sig. I'm not trying to be snobby, I'm truly curious. |

Welcome aboard, sir!
Well the reason is, it's essentially a membership to parts of the board for roleplaying and deeper interaction, also special access to upcoming insider goodies, a chance to have yourself or a character you have wanted to be made in PO form and put on shirts and other cool merch, and well, with a lot of requests it gets kind of busy and well, custom artwork is usually a lot more expensive as well.
So it boils down to a membership, but a custom one. 
Of course we have other parts of the board that are accessible witout membership as well. So there's no pressure and something for everyone.

Welcome... I will add to what my CO-founder has said.
We also have really big things coming in the future such as a PO Card game... currently with the name PO:TCG. And the cool thing is that the card you use, are cards of the otaku. That includes you, and everyone else that you will eventually get to know on the board. That is what is so unique about this board and our plans. And the Merch stuff is pretty cool too.
