you HAVE to admit that xbox graphics are BEAUTIFUL!! way better than ps2. even the crappy first generation xbox games looked excellent.

i will always like ps2 better, but i really do respect xbox...

I'm not really a Graphics person myself... I go for gameplay.. When I did have my X-box (I have since disposed of it) the games all looked pretty good and that's what made me buy them...But when I got them home and played them I never played them more than 3 times. Mainly because of Sluggish controls (DOA3 is HORRIBLE on the X-box. PS2's DOA2 Hardcore wasn't as fast as DC's DOA2 but at least when ya pressed punch it punched) and they put TOO many graphics in one place so the game would slow down. Not to mention all the damn load screens I ran into. Like I said before, X-box is a good piece of hardware but they are SERIOUSLY lacking in game design.

I have all 3... I have to say that I still think my ps2 is the best... then gc... then many other systems.

I still have yet to buy another game for my xbox and I still have only played the two that came with it like 3 times.

I hear splinter cell is awesome though so I want to try that.

i have mixed emotions about this game. it has been soooo over advertised, that i'm wondering if it will be a big let-down

Of course it will be a let down it is an x-box game afterall although i do have to laugh at all these people think that the games for x-box are so much better than on PS2 games like tony hawk and the like....however most of them are forgetting that the freakin PS2 realeased their version a loooooooong time before x-box did of course its gonna look a little better they saw what they hads to compete with and figured out like 3 ways to make it look better yeah you heard me only three I dont know what they are due to the fact that x-box is made from the souls of dead babies and dead little kids creep me out....ummm what was I saying? Oh yeah x-box sucks

From the countless barrages of how evil Microsoft and all of its spawn are, I'm glad to see both(all) sides represented. At least defended in some way. I've seen too many threads on other forums either filled with xbox, ps2, or gc players, bashing one or both of the other systems, for no real apparent reason. It's the same argument as PC vs. Mac.

I've seen XBox graphics. They look really nice. I, myself, am a PC gamer. I've never truly owned a console, only played on other people's for extended periods of time. ^_^ Console graphics almost always look better than their computer counterparts(because they can dedicate themselves to making it look and play good, and not running anything else, like a multitasking GUI), yet I'm not planning on buying a console anytime soon. I'm enjoying playing my games for PC. Where we(being the gaming industry) are now, graphics are almost a moot point--everyone has "good" graphics. It's just not hard anymore. If that were the selling point of XBox(and I'm not sure if it is or not), I don't see why many people would choose an XBox over, let's say, a GameCube(I do have a bias).
I would buy a system to play a game I know I would enjoy, not just because it's pretty. If I wanted to look at pretty graphics and have no gameplay, I'd play Metal Gear Solid 2... erm, I mean, watch LotR:Two Towers. Steel Battalion sounds like fun, in concept. Shenmue 2 is a great game to play(I'm playing it on DC as an import). XBox isn't a bad system -- it has good games. The games make the system, as far as I'm concerned. Microsoft could sacrifice children, and XBox need an professional installation in your house, but if it was the only system Metroid Prime was out for, I'm sure many gamers would have sold their little sister.

This was a long post to say that I agree with AzVegeta. I just really hate to see people bash systems for no reason.

Iva, I'm in total agreeance. This is why I have all 3 systems.

You see these arguments from both sides. One guy thinks this is better the other thinks this is better, before you know it, people are at eachother's throats. It's crazy.

I say, buy what you want, play what you want. If you want it all, you have to buy it all... Unfortunatly, I want it all. Wink
